Wow, I never thought that I would ever, ever, EVER sign up for a blog space! I always seemed to misunderstand them, had this impression in my head that only an elite few people in this world could truly comprehend and unravel the mystery that is the BLOG.... What exactly do you write in a BLOG?! what purpose does it serve? what impressions will your blog leave on other people? and how safe and secure do you feel about sharing your mental and emotional state with other people that you possibly never meet in your life?!.... well, thats why I signed up :-D
It is the first day of July, and what better day could god (or, whoever you believe your creator is, I'm open minded!) have created to officially send us past the second half of the year! The miserable rain has seemed to cower some where else, hopefully in Sydney HAHAHA and in the last months since summer, I have never seen the glasshouse mountains look so glorious. You see, I am up here with my parents in caboolutre, the last true 70's rural town left, possibly, in the world! they are now enjoying the semi-retired life on beautiful acreage and so they deserve to... My parents are of the blue collar, working class generation, which seems to be sadly and slowly dissapearing :-( However, the reason I am up here is to fight against this generational loss... you see my friends you may not realise it... but we are all in danger of losing a precious treasure in this world, one that I believe is slowly being withered away by our seemingly insaitable demand for information on the internet, and our trouble free access to content at the touch of a button 24/7... that is the treasure of memories... memories that have absorbed and soaked the threads of life, in my parents case a combined total of 125 years (!)... There's a saying that you don't miss water untill the well dries... but what if the well is full and nobody wants to use it??? It is seemingly becoming more evident in today's society that the well of knowledge and experience is looking for a catchment but cannot yield anyone enthusiastic enough to irigate it...
Anyway, that speil on sociology was very unexpected!!! how it ended up like that, beats me... but one thing I do know... you'll be seeing alot more of me in this exciting and ever so dynamic world of the BLOG...
Welcome to "The life of Pai" :-D
